Good review. Totally agree on the
"This is not only in my top five albums of the year, but it is easily one of the best piano collections I've had the pleasure of hearing"
, now I have another album to add on my playlist along with the good old Piano Collections of FFVII that I've enjoyed for such a long time.

Yeah, Casey Ormond did a dynamite job with this. 水のほとり/Near the Water is such a fantastic song. It's making me retroactively feel a lot warmer towards FFXII's OST.

I'm still working my way through this album, but I agree that "Near the Water" is amazing.
For me, the best piano collections are VIII and X, and I'm also very warm to X-2. But this might join VIII and X in a tie.
