I remember renting the original DQ7 years ago and having a blast with it. This might be the first DQ I buy.

Oh hell yes!
Here's hoping they do the sensible thing and reduce the amount of grinding it takes to learn abilities (and give Melvin and Aria a better skill set load out when they join you instead of just giving Aria mastery over the quickest and easiest class to master in the game and five levels in the fairly quick to master category and jack squat to Melvin).
Edit: Also make it so you can't permanently screw yourself out of lithograph shards by missing a treasure chest in a cave you only get to visit once during the first disk or something to that effect.
Double Edit: And here's hoping they speed up the opening sequence so that it doesn't take an hour before you have the opportunity to get into your first fight.
Triple Edit: And maybe making Dharma Shrine/Alltrades Abbey accessible a little bit earlier than a full third of the way through the game.
Final Edit, I Swear: And let the unfortunate sap(s? looks like they're adding another party member to this which would help in the awkwardness of only having five teammates in a four man battle party) stuck on the bench get at least some job experience rather than forcing me to abandon Maribel because Aria caught up in class levels and either my MC or Gabo have surpassed her in the magic department thus making her entirely redundant.

I'd like an earlier Dharma Shrine and a /better goddamn translation/. Also maybe a higher drop rate of monster hearts.
Never had an issue with grinding for abilities and I wasn't aware of any lithograph pieces being permanently missable.
Probably my second favorite DQ game after 5.

DQ VII is the only main-series DQ game I haven't beaten (other than X, I suppose), and I've never gotten past the 6th or 7th hour of the game. It's a shame, too, because I count DQ IV, V, and VIII among my all-time favorite games. Maybe this is when I give DQ VII a second chance? It totally happened with VI on the DS.

IF this gets translated, it should at least receive a far better translation than before barring Squeenix completely phoning this in as the original localization was badly rushed and undermanned.
