So this means that Disney will own Monkey Island and other LucasArts franchises.
You know, everyone's freaking out over Star Wars, but this worries me more, to be honest. |

Meh, the Star Wars franchise has been shit for a while... Disney can't really make it worst. Still weirded that George Lucas agreed. Isn't that like selling your children for him? Wouldn't it be funny if Disney has bought http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucas_Entertainment by mistake? |

I don't really see this as a bad thing. The prequels ware pretty terrible and I really can't see Disney making the new movies any worse than Lucas would have made them. I just realized that we're probably never getting KotOR3 now (well, we weren't getting it, but now it's pretty much final).

We already got KotOR 3, its just missing the "Ko" and 3 from the title. Seriously though, I doubt this will impact games. If a new KotOR game was ever to be made it will still be made regardless of who's holding the licence. |

I think this is nothing but good news. Disney did well with Pixar and Marvel; I've enjoyed almost all the films by those studios. George Lucas losing most of the creative control over Star Wars is going to be the best thing that has happened to this franchise in years.

Gentlemen please. They're obviously getting J.J. Abrams on this Star Wars reboot.
Joking aside though, I'm far more worried about the actors they're going to cast. After all part of the reason why the previous 'new' trilogy failed was because they had a bunch of teens trying to act as dumb, angsty teens and the last thing we need is Disney to push their teeny pops of the year into these movies for more of the same.
