I just recently completed Final Fantasy VI Advance and went back to this game. I'm on the extra chapter once the game is beaten and was wondering are their any items that restore MP during battle because I'm pretty sure I had to use some during the last boss thanks

Elven Elixirs are the principal MP restoration items you're looking for. Magic Rings and Magic Water will restore a small amount of MP but they're too inefficient to rely upon in battle unless you absolutely need the extra handful of MP (you are better off using a Magic Ring or two to top off your MP before entering the boss fight since the Water restores a tiny bit more in my experience).

Word I actually beat the game a while ago but stopped playing at the extra chapter. I really think the game ended great at chapter 5 and that extra one was not neccessary but it doesn't seem to be that long so what the heck mind as well give it a try. I don't remember being able to buy those items in shops though and another question yggdrasil dew that item comes in handy also but is their any way to get more of those or nah thanks

You can get more at Zenitha Castle but they will only give you one if you don't already have one.

And yeah, I wasn't too big on the bonus chapter either given that it kinda hand waves a lot of Saro's actions. Really, the only thing I thought was interesting enough to get the game again was the party chat feature and welp.

Is their a lot of level grinding towards this part of the game? My characters are around level 38 and with the regular dungeons I'm not really having too much of a problem. (I mean my characters take a decent amount of damage each battle and require healing) but I win the battles without much of a problem. The two bosses named after chinese food are really tough so I figured I'd level up to around level 42 but damn are the battles slow and boring and it takes so long to gain a level. Really getting frustrated with this

Not going to lie, that was the main reason why I hated Dragon Quest for a while.

I haven't been playing this much but I finally wanna just get through this game and be done with it. The first 5 chapters were fun and honestly this was the first dragon quest game I played for a while even though I have all of them. I liked the game but I wanna get on to Xenoblade Chronicles or Deus Ex Human Revolution either one of those or Pokemon White Version or finish the last boss on Super Mario RPG a game that first got me into the genre and playing only once a while ago had a lot of fun going through it again good game

Haven't played the DS version so I don't know what level you need to be for the post game stuff but I did my best grinding on the island that has the entrance to the underworld in the NES version. Nothing like sicking Alena on any unfortunate Metal King Slimes foolish enough to draw near and watching the ensuing mess of critical hits flatten them.

Also, and I don't know why you wouldn't have done this already, but if you haven't cleaned out the casino for Metal King Shields for everybody who can equip them then you should. Remember, its a game. There's a save point nearby. Buy maybe 10 tokens, save whenever you end up in the black, and set a reset threshold once you have more than enough tokens to play for a five minute long losing streak so you don't actually have to play for more than five minutes before you realize you need to give up and try again.

As someone who falls into that trap stay the hell away from any and every DQ casino. All the games are completely non-interactive except blackjack and poker and they don't let you bet high enough to be viable(And the later games you can't even play cards, insuring no fun is had). You're just sitting there slack jawed doing nothing for a hour while you wait for the rng gods to do you a solid. Even if you're doing something else at the same time it's just not worth it.

I am however, ALL about the dragon quest boardgame from III and V. They need to bring that shit back.

Anyway, 4ds isn't too hard, except for a surprisingly unnerfed cave near the town of women with lots of nasty breath weapons so you shouldn't have to grind much. But you can do it quick and painless in the shrine south of endor. Don't go in too far and the people in the wagon will still get exp and you can kill liquid metals there. Bring Alena with double attack earrings and you can try Mara turning into a dragon. I don't remember if that still works or not, it did in the nes version.

I only bothered because I wanted the hero to learn morph. Then when he wasn't learning it I looked up and found that someone at SE hates fun and they removed the spell.
