having different megaevolutions in different game versions seems so weird, but yeah, I actually prefer that new mewto mega form.

I've been hearing rumblings that they're going to give Garchomp a mega evolution. As in the only normal Pokemon that can KO certain legendaries in one hit given the right conditions.
They did give him one with the Ability Sand Force.

Mega Pokémon are getting banned from tourneys, anyway.

Isn't it a bit soon to be banning anything?

I mean, it sounds like they have to give up their held item for mega evo, which is a big deal in competitive battling. Pokemon without Choice Specs, Focus Sash, Leftovers etc.

Not if the Mega Pokémon in question can decimate a full team of six with the boosted stats.

Unless GF hasn't said that Mega Evolutions do decrease stats to ridiculously low numbers...

That's applying Gen V mechanics to a Gen VI game. Garchomp can't just Outrage a team because Fairy-type are completely immune to dragon and thus it would pretty much have to switch out.

Assuming it spams Outrage instead of Earthquake.

Ha ha! Mega Garchomp has been confirmed to lose a little speed. It'll add some strategy if you want to Mega Evolve or not.

But with this in mind, maybe GF hasn't revealed that Mega Pokémon do get lowered stats...

This seems a little illogical to say, but, Kalos Pokémon are confirmed not to have Mega Evolutions.

WILL YOU CHOOSE THE NEW DEALS OR BUFFED UP OLD DEALS?

Fair bit of warning here. A guy somehow has gotten hold of a legit copy of the game and is spreading a lot of leaks as we speak. No, this guy just appeared today and every screenshot he has posted so far is 100% real.

If you don't want to be spoiled, do not hunt down your typical Pokémon boards and other similar places. It's time to avoid the game now ahead of the release date.

EDIT: LIKE FOR EXAMPLE DICE IS OUR SPOILING USER RIGHT BELOW. NO SPOILER TAGS.

New Mega-Ultra Pokemon Charizard looks badass.

I wonder how they're keeping track of all these Pokemen.  They gonna end up doing super evolutions for all of them?  Is it gonna fuck up tournaments (or will there be 'new rules' to limit them)?  Kinda sucks if one Pokemon has it and others don't I guess.

Ah well...
Here's Snorlax fuckign shit up every gen

And I wanna do all these (except Umbreons)

EDIT:  The final Evolved form of Fennekin....is screwy and just a bizarre design choice.

Hmn... it's interesting but not exactly aesthetically pleasing. It seems like it'll be a Fire/Psychic (maybe Fire/Fairy?), which makes it fairly unique and a complete reversal of the Fire/Fighting types we've had for the last 3 generations.

I have to say that I'm really digging the music. The soundtrack isn't something one normally cares about in a Pokemon game but I liked the soundtrack from the first game the most out of the entire series. X and Y's trainer music is really good though, and they seem to be doing an old school feel with new school style with the game, and I really like it. If they can pull off the gym battle music without making it sound dull (which has been the case since Red/Blue/Yelow IMO), this might be my favorite entry yet.
