"After multiple leaks, Capcom has confirmed Resident Evil Revelations, initially launched for 3DS in February last year, will make the jump to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC digital download on May 21 in North America and on May 24 in Europe for $49.99 (consoles) / $39.99 (PC). A digital version will also be available for PlayStation 3 on May 21, with Xbox 360 and Wii U digital versions to follow.

The enhanced port will add additional content, including a "terrifying new enemy, extra difficulty mode, and improvements to Raid Mode such as new weapons, skill sets, and the opportunity to play as Hunk and other characters," as well as "high quality HD visuals, enhanced lighting effects, and an immersive sound experience," according to Capcom. Raid Mode is an online co-op or solo mode where players take on hordes of enemies across a variety of missions while leveling up and earning weapon upgrades.

In Japan, the game is known as Biohazard Revelations Unveiled Edition."

Yeah, it makes no sense why they wouldn't put it on the Vita as well unless they REALLY think it isn't worth the investment because games have sold so poorly on the system so far.

That is a terrible excuse for not bringing the game to the Vita.

I knew this would happen.

Eh, at least there's not any funny business with DLC which Capcom almost always handles poorly. Vita not getting Revs is hardly a good reason to get mad at them now.

Wii U Features

News:

Resident Evil Revelations will not support Wii Remote and Nunchuk on Wii U -- Source: Siliconera

"Since Nintendo's new Wii U console can use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers as well, some developers have been including support for those in their shooters. For example, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 on Wii U allows one to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk as an optional control scheme, as does Pikmin 3.

Unfortunately, Resident Evil Revelations, which is headed to the Wii U—alongside PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions—will not allow for Wii Remote pointer controls.

Capcom's Mike Lumm confirmed on the company forums: "Unfortunately [Revelations] is only supported by the Wii U gamepad at the moment. We're doing what we can to get the new classic controller compatibility, but the game's not setup to track motions from the wii-remote at this time."
