New Xenoblade?

I got annoyed at Xenoblade's shitty quests...seriously annoyed. I can't say I'm stoked for this new one, but it does look pretty.

Agreed.  It was overkill.

I've heard rumblings that this is going to be multi-player focused. I really hope not.

I wouldn't mind as long as it can still be played normally without co-op.  Might make a decent addition if you have similarly minded friends.

I'd much rather see Xenoblade-style single player, with the ability to inject two or three other people in as cooperative partners. I'm not sure how thrilled I'd be to see something like "HERE IS YOUR CAMPAIGN. ALSO HERE ARE 10 SPECIAL MISSIONS WE MADE FOR COOP THAT ARE TOTALLY UNRELATED TO THE STORY AND YOUR PARTY THERE."

I also hope they don't forego named, personality-full characters in favor of generic, create-a-character, multiplayer-friendly parties

It'd be nice if it were similar to white knight chronicles, where you create a character for use online and in the main story, but he/she doesn't impact the story directly. Granted WKC isn't the best example of a stellar single player experience, but it gets my point across.

I especially liked the mech use in the trailer. Reminded me of Xenosaga to a degree. It'd be awesome if this were in fact a xenogears sequel rather than a xenoblade sequel. Some 15 years later, pretty sure the uproar for it would be huge.

If there was one thing I took away from the cutscenes in Xenoblade, it's that any type of character creator in this game is going to have a breast slider like WKC did. (My god Venea! Did your tits have to be front and center in every cutscene you were in? And Seven, you're not helping things either with your chest piece macguffin right on top of your cleavage window. Though at least you weren't jiggling around like Sharla was all the time.)
