I got annoyed at Xenoblade's shitty quests...seriously annoyed. I can't say I'm stoked for this new one, but it does look pretty.

Agreed.  It was overkill.

I've heard rumblings that this is going to be multi-player focused. I really hope not.

I wouldn't mind as long as it can still be played normally without co-op.  Might make a decent addition if you have similarly minded friends.

I'd much rather see Xenoblade-style single player, with the ability to inject two or three other people in as cooperative partners. I'm not sure how thrilled I'd be to see something like "HERE IS YOUR CAMPAIGN. ALSO HERE ARE 10 SPECIAL MISSIONS WE MADE FOR COOP THAT ARE TOTALLY UNRELATED TO THE STORY AND YOUR PARTY THERE."

I also hope they don't forego named, personality-full characters in favor of generic, create-a-character, multiplayer-friendly parties

It'd be nice if it were similar to white knight chronicles, where you create a character for use online and in the main story, but he/she doesn't impact the story directly. Granted WKC isn't the best example of a stellar single player experience, but it gets my point across.

I especially liked the mech use in the trailer. Reminded me of Xenosaga to a degree. It'd be awesome if this were in fact a xenogears sequel rather than a xenoblade sequel. Some 15 years later, pretty sure the uproar for it would be huge.

I'd be okay with that if your character doesn't stand around like a schlub the whole time with only two characters acknowledging your presence. I got the impression the avatar was just tagging along and wouldn't take a hint.

If there was one thing I took away from the cutscenes in Xenoblade, it's that any type of character creator in this game is going to have a breast slider like WKC did. (My god Venea! Did your tits have to be front and center in every cutscene you were in? And Seven, you're not helping things either with your chest piece macguffin right on top of your cleavage window. Though at least you weren't jiggling around like Sharla was all the time.)

So here was that trailer for the new game posted at E3.
I could watch this like 50 times and not get sick of it.

Beng honest, this is probably shaping to be one of those titles that helps convince me to buy the system

It was at E3, so it'd be mean if they didn't (iirc, it was said to be confirmed already).

Then again, Xenoblade Chronicles debuted at E3 yet barely made it to US, so I wouldn't say that anything's set in stone yet.

I'm optimistic Nintendo is interested in it given how barebones the WiiU selection is right now (and let's be honest, Nin's E3 display was.....very, very "safe", nothing too extraordinary or surprising)

Plus releasing Xenoblade here THEN showing this off in a Direct made in English and then again at E3 with ESRB warning implies to me that this time they're set to bring it out here, and maybe even sooner than later.

My thoughts exactly. I've have little interest in a WiiU before now. This game looks amazing.

I just bought a Wii U, and I'll admit, this game had a lot to do with it.

That trailer was really incredible. I want to withhold my enthusiasm until more details emerge, but damn, this looks like it has tons of potential.
