Now this I'm going to buy.

http://www.rpgfan.com/news/2013/1058.html

Surprised that Aksys is the one who got it, but I'm pretty excited about the new localization.  The Wii version didn't have a great rep...

The Wii translation was one of the most uneven bare-bones things I've ever seen. You get one word when the character has a monologue, none of the characters really have any personality, and the translators didn't even try figuring out a way to translate the dialects. The only game Ignition really gave a good translation to was El Shaddai and that was more because it didn't actually have all that much stuff to translate. I think they were mostly just lazy.

I hope there's a jump button.  Hate that "press up" stuff.

Anyways, yay, may play through it this time then (hoping I get a Vita by then and it goes down in price)!

From what I did play though, it's a weird thing to admit than I liked the faux-Shakespeare from Odin Sphere than the legit-Japanese dialogue in Muramasa.

Vita is off to a good start this year. This is how it began with 3DS.

What!? You didn't like the 'hold the A button down' and 'D-stick' yourself all over the place?

And yes, the Ignition localization job was shoddy as hell, though I am glad I got my copy for like $8 new because of its shoddiness.

So the RPGFan article mentions that there are additional DLC characters, anyone know who the DLC characters are(assuming they were originally in the game) and whether they actually get storylines or not?

It should be noted that the content that was originally intended for the Wii release that got cut is still MIA, and unlikely to return as well.

But...we already had a thread :( http://www.rpgfan.com/boards/index.php?topic=12126.0

Come on, it's not that old.  And "life support", really?

And merged.

Also no, I'm not very fond of using "life support" like this, nevermind the fact that if the system's reliably getting anything it's Japanese games brought over, by surprise at times too.

To be fair life-support might not be too far from the truth. I love the Vita and all but when you have publishers of said reliable Japanese games saying 'Sorry, not bringing games over for a sinking ship.'...
