Wow, fox news couldn't spin that into a negative look for video games.....Sessler rocks.
Seriously though, that comment about GTA was well stated. I still remember when a parent came into the game store I worked in complaining about it 3 days after I WARNED her not to allow her kid to buy it. She actually called the store and said she was okay with her 11 year old son buying it, which I said I wouldn't allow, she had to be here and buy it herself. Seriously, first she complained about me not selling it ther kid, which I explained was against the law, then wanted a refund when she found out that her 11 year old son was plowing a hooker in his car in the game.
Adam Sessler is surprisngly well spoken, I didn't expect his response to be so eloquently worded.

Yeah, that Sessler fellow rocked. As soon as I saw Fox News in the title I figured it was going to be bad, but he made for a great spokesman. What games does his company make?

I think it's actually an internet channel where he talks about games. Kinda like what he was doing before, only on the internet:

Adam Sessler was one of the hosts on X-play, back when G4TV actually still did video game stuff. He was always the more realistic of the two hosts, so I generally enjoyed his views on games they reviewed, but Morgan Webb (host #2) was hot....so yeah.

Yeah, I always liked him, too. I'll always remember when he talked about people complaining about their near-perfect score of Killzone 2 (their review actually got me interested in the game, and I'm glad they did, it's my second favorite FPS now)...albeit vaguely.
I always found his cohost annoying, though. Plus, sometimes I felt like he was trying too hard to do...something. Just the way he talked or did something sometimes seemed...counter-intuitive, iirc.

It's probably due to his major. It's either literature or theater. I can't remember which. I liked Adam Sessler on X-play. Seemed like a good guy.

Unfortunately, for many this translates to 'the government should ban than that game' rather than 'a parent should do their job.'

Wait, you in Canada or another country not the USA? Because it's technically legal to sell here (I don't think any attempted law actually passed and got enforced), but it'd get you fired at most places so it's not really that much better for you anyway.

My boss at the time (owner of the store) was a cop and he told me he could get fined for selling mature titles to underage consumers, similarly to selling pornographic magazines to kids. I just looked at the esrb website, though, and as of a ruling in 2011, it's unconstitutional to make selling mature+ rated games to minors illegal, so yeah, I guess I was just being scared into submission, so to speak. I wouldn't have sold it to a kid even if it was okay, as gta is not a series for children to be playing. Personally, I think gta is a great excuse as to why video games get such a bum rep. I have plenty of friends who sell drugs and have had a gun pointed at me twice in my life, why in the name of all hell would I want to play a video game where I can experience that?

I'm normally pretty anti-censorship generally speaking, but when I saw an eight year old (well, somewhere in that age range) kid in Wal-Mart going on to his mother about how bad-ass (his term) Manhunt 1 was and begging for her to buy him Manhunt 2 I was pretty worried. :(

At BBY back in college, I once saw a 6 year old profess his love for slasher movies. His grandpa (who was probably in his late 40s to mid 50s) just shrugged when he saw the look I had on my face and said, "I don't like it, but there's not much I can do".
