Xseed being a tease

Man this has been a good week for announcements.

So lot's of speculation out there about what this could mean.  Killer is Dead seems likely, and there have already been rumours that Xseed got the license for that.  But I'm more interested in the rest, obviously.  A lot of people think the big I and II mean Ys I & II for PC, which seems like a obvious thing to do.  The forest hints at Ys Celceta, which given Xseed's success with the franchise also seems likely.

Getting more speculative, the bad memory part might refer to Demon Gaze.  Then there's the making babies part which some people think refers to Conception (remember that?)...I guess it fits, but it does seem like an odd title to pick up.

Could be more...does the five refer to the number of games?

Not exactly official but Tom Lipschultz had previously said on the Xseed forums that it was very unlikely that SC would make it this year, so I'm not surprised.  Disappointed, but not surprised.

I don't know what's going on with that series...fortunately I've been learning Japanese all these years so I think I'm going to dive into TitS in Japanese at some point.  But the language used in TitS is a bit more sophisticated than your average JRPG so I want to wait until I've gotten a bit better.  I have no doubt I could stumble my way through it, but the story is a big part of the appeal so I want to be able to fully appreciate it.

Well, at least they got one of the games out, so I imagine restarting from Sora no Kiseki FC would be a great way to test yourself and see if you can advance your understanding enough for SC. Or maybe it'll be completely overwhelming.

It maybe insignificant, but notice that it has I or II, with Ys having I & II.
I saw someone suggest it could be Senran Kagura, with it having a compilation of two games, and its producer wanted to have it localized, AND iirc Xseed was looking into doing it digitally.

Ys I & II looks definite, it's already in the Steam database.

I'm still hoping they'll release the first TitS for PC sometime ever. It's a little annoying that they haven't done so yet when they're already sitting on a completed script they could copy-paste across.

The original branch of the Trails in the _____ franchise which spawned from the Legend of Heroes series, which spawned from the fifth Dragon Slayer game.

Also I'm amused by the fact that somebody thought that Conception had any chance of coming over. All it had going for it was the breeding little monstrosities from your harem of dating sim archetypes. That Over My Dead Body PSP remake would've been a much better choice.
