Something about fantasy makes me all happy inside
I think that childhood dream of shooting fireballs from my hands is something that just won't die.

I have *unbelievable* timing when I leave the microwave and come back to it within 5 seconds of it finishing...I think it's magic.

Honestly, BK2 was an almost perfect attempt at an unusual non-standard battle system.  Hell, I'd take a BK3 if it was possible....  I also hate saying BK because I think about Burger King.

Either way, love the treefaces.

Sad it's only a single picture but it does look lovely. In some way it reminds me of the movie Pan's Labyrinth. Maybe it's the creature beside the girl.
It seem the 3DS may be, at least until the next gen is well established, our place to go for RPGs.

I was reminded more of that one game that never was called Cry On, which had a girl and a golem in the one piece of promotional art for it.

So does Nintendo own Monolith soft or not? If so would that mean it would be considered a second party developer or something like that (I guess kind of like Intelligent Systems) Also does that mean Nintendo owns the characters in any Monolith Soft game like Xenoblade for example

Monolith Soft is a Nintendo Second Party developer. I guess that does mean Nintendo has the right to the characters. Right now, Nintendo only has the rights to the characters in Xenoblade and maybe Soma Bringer as Baten Kaitos and Xenosaga were made while Monolith Soft was with Namco Bandai.

I wouldn't be surprised if they straight up bought Baten Kaitos sometime, but I'm assuming it didn't do too well under either of them to really care that much.

And BKO, from what I played, was one of the most astonishing improvements I've seen in a sequel, so I'm intrigued.

Nintendo also apparently has at least a decent enough relationship with Bamco to let them work on Smash Bros, so I don't think it's out of the question that you could see a Bamco-sanctioned, Nintendo-published, Monolith Soft-developed BK3, yeah?

Considering both Baten Kaitos games were on the Gamecube, there really isn't any reason for Namco to block it.

Well, Nintendo co-owns Fatal Frame now and is taking over for Bayonetta though Sega still owns the IP it seems, so combined with Smash Bros I don't think anything would actually get in the way of a deal or outright purchase of the IP. However I expect that given neither game did all that well they'd rather try creating a new IP and selling that.
