I doubt anyone at EA or Bioware is intimidated for The Witcher 3. It might not be crazy to think that some people at Bioware feel a bit under pressure after the whole deal with DA2.

And seriously, did The Witcher 2 sold well on 360?

If anything, Bioware will be happy about the popularity of the Witcher series. Am I the only one that remembers that not that long ago people were claiming that CRPGs were dead if not the whole PC gaming market?

Gaming isn't a zero sum market, its entirely likely that plenty of gamers will buy both the Witcher 3 and DA: I. Its not like theres a huge number of CRPGs to choose from each year.

There's usually one reliably heavy hitter, but this year's been an anomaly in that it's a few indie games and not much else. We probably saw more alphas and betas hit than full games!

Delayed, on one hand its probably a good thing if they really think it needs the extra development time. On the other hand, it might just be a way to avoid clashing with the other big releases. Possibly both, either way, as long as they use the extra time to polish game I don't care what their motives are.

NOW PLAYING:
Hearthstone: I don't like card games, and yet I enjoy this.
Chaos on Deponia: Beat the first one, went straight for the second one, that says a lot.
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin: Seems ok, has mouse issues.

Looks great, but (not trying to be negative here) I'd like to see a demonstration of the game at this point.  The full combat mod for W2 gave me really high hopes that they ironed out some of the gameplay idiosyncrasies that I wasn't really a fun of, so I want to see the game in actual action and not just pretty cutscenes and snippets.  Hope we see it at one of the big press conferences!

I'm sure you may have seen this by now but here's a couple gameplay demo video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVlE8BXEbpE#t=212

Of course it's still hard to tell exactly what's changed since the TW2 without actually playing it.   My biggest criticism of combat in TW2 was how much you had to rely on rolling in some fights... It got pretty ridiculous in certain battles where the best strategy was to roll over and over again.    But at least it looks like Geralt can now dodge without having to rolll :)
