Final Fantasy Orchestral Album
« on: February 23, 2013, 07:52:24 PM »
My copy arrived today.  I'm surprised nobody is talking about this.  Came out back in December, I think, but I didn't get around to ordering it until recently.  It was released as part of FF's 25th anniversary, but was about the only thing they did for that which actually interested me.  For the most part it's a really nice collection of songs taken from throughout the series (though I could have lived without yet another version of Eyes on Me...) and the sound quality is amazing (it's on a blu-ray of all things, though there are also mp3 versions of the tracks on the disc).

I have no idea what I'm going to do with the LP it came with, though...I don't even have anything to play it with.  Why did I have to get the limited edition...

I actually got a copy of this, and I thought it was great. I'm reviewing it this week, actually. I had a friend rip the LP for me, so I can listen to it in my record player-less apartment.

This album made me love Opera Maria and Draco. Never cared about it before. Right around 11:30, oh man.

The production quality on the blu-ray is great, but I was disappointed that there was no video of the performance.

Friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third.
