Interesting article.  I had no idea Journey was nominated.

Given that video game soundtracks have been used in the Olympics, an event I'd consider far more important than the Grammy's, I'd say they're fair game.  The ones that would be nominated would probably fall more under the "art music" category than what I traditionally see at the Grammy's, though.
