 I think Elezen is as far down the Manly Woman scale as I can go.

 Lalafell on the other hand almost make me want to play my own gender because my god, tiny swashbuckler mustaches.

No way do I actually keep the heart, but I like this one.

Lalafells. If you're playing with the creator note you can change the stache by changing your face. Chocobo would be unlikely to stay. Much more likely than the heart though.





She may be ballin', but I rank my attempt at ffxi Classic Raze to be a failure.



Bonus Lalafell, looks more like my old mifra just for the button nose.

I decided to try out Maxiumum and only got 300 points or so below my 6000 Desktop High 1680x1050 score, so I'll probably be playing it maxed out unless the framerate becomes an issue.

My favorite part is the much improved lighting.  Ifrit also finally looks like he fits in the game.  Noticed the added distortion and fog effects as well.

My husband made a gorgeous FemRoe when I told him to play with the creator. Their faces look surprisingly feminine if you get it right.  I don't think it's enough to make me change from the more elegant Elezen, but really, it's tempting.

And did they modify their Benchmark?  Because I'm getting a value a good 600+ points higher than I was in the original.

Most people have been getting better scores, including myself.  Undoubtedly the result of an improved engine.  SLI support is in too.  I've seen 16K benchmark scores on NeoGAF.

Yeah they've definitely made some changes to the engine. There's better useage of ambient occlusion and a few more shaders. They even got FXAA in finally. The only thing missing is vertical sync. I got about 1k higher than the last test and actually 2k higher on the laptop.

Hmmm, I've never been a fan of low poly distant objects.
It gives the ole 'texture pop up' problem as you move closer.

But yeah, 1024 texture for shadow is more than fine. I don't even see what a 2048 would give you more.

Wow I don't know what they did to their benchmark, but my scores shot up big time.

No SLI/Crossfire:
Old benchmark w/overclocked processor: 6300
Old benchmark without overclocked processor: 5400
New benchmark without overclocked processor: 8100

Same settings as last time.  Graphics don't look like they're downgraded (really no point to do so with a PS3/4 release).  My only guess is the the old benchmark really did over rely on processor clock speed even though the difference between a 3.4 and 4.3 in a sandy bridge probably is probably fairly minor since the bottleneck wouldn't be the processor.  So now they changed it to be more true to real in-game settings and the extra score is just the same boost that everyone else saw as well.

Well, either way I'm satisfied.  The drop to 5400 was bothering me because I thought I was previously good to go to enjoy this beautiful game to the fullest when previous scores were higher.  God's in his heaven, all's right with the world.

Set it to 512 and the shadow flickering in Gridania is extremely annoying.  1024 reduces how blatant it is by a nice amount.  2048 reduces it a little further.  It's not possible to get rid of it entirely, but the slight reduction that 2048 brings is worth it, to me anyway.

The benchmark tester doesn't seem to be working for me. It won't even open. Oh well.

Got it to work and came up to 6669 on 1280x720 HIGH. That'll do.

Decided to pump up the settings- 1920x1200 MAX I got 3666, which is still showing as a performance of High.
