METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN GDC 2013 Trailer

"The Phantom Pain, announced at last year's Video Game Awards as a new game by Moby Dick Studios, put together with the previously announced Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, is in fact Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain by Kojima Productions, studio boss Hideo Kojima revealed at his Game Developers Conference panel today." -- Source: Gematsu

With the official announcement of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain I decided to leave the Ground Zeroes thread alone to not confuse anyone with any old info. I hope this doesn't bothers anyone.*

Looks like its time to Escape from New York.

Not pictured, the lighter in the rocket hand.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

Goddamn left hand....

Isn't that hand from the jerkoff from Peacewalker, the guy from the end that you had to chase down in a bunch of areas? Can't remember his name, brain functions have died.

^Vladimir Aleksandrovich Zadornov, that's his name. Pretty hard to remember though he also goes by the name of Ramón Gálvez Mena.

Dunno if that's his hand or not but is better not to assume anything with Metal Gear.

I feel as though I have missed a huge part of the story by not playing any of the PSP games. Dammit.
Friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third.

Only Peacewalker. Get the hd collection on ps3 or xbob, it plays pretty good.

Apparently no David Hayter in this game.

Happy it's PS3.

Sad there's no Hayter.

I get the feeling this is setting up the original Metal Gear.
I avoid online multiplayer because my brain still works.

Or Vita! I'll have to give it a whirl-- I really didn't like Portable Ops, but I hear Peace Walker was a lot betterl

Apparently no David Hayter in this game.

Which is a bit strange given how the Japanese trailer of Ground Zeroes have the voice of Akio Ohtsuka (the Japanese equivalent of David Hayter). Though Big Boss in MGS4 a different voice actor (Richard Doyle) that suit him better at that point of the story, I have no idea who did the voice for Big Boss in the new gameplay video.

I read somehing about Kiefer Sutherland, but I don't know...

David Hayter sure WANTS to be the voice of Snake in this one, but eventually they'll have to change over. Even though Solid Snake got old and his voice didn't change, but hey :)

I tell you what, I could see Kiefer Sutherland pulling off big boss, but it wouldn't be the same without Hayter. Even if he's just a cameo voiceover or a fucking security guard or something, it's not really MGS without good ole David Hayter.

That's right, Agent D., don't listen to the Hayter haters!

...sorry, I just wanted to say that...
