It's going to be hard listening to Sutherland as every review has mentioned. I'll definitely pick this up much later than now or hopefully in a bundle like Elegance said. Not willing to pay even 40 bucks for a few hours.

^Haven't played GZ yet, but Sutherland sounds fine for the little I've spoiled myself. He as Snake Big Boss fits more with the tone MGSV is going for. But hey, if you are searching for reasons to ignore a decent game that's your thing man.

Also GZ was released at $30.

Seems like it's similar to the MGS2 demo as an introduction.

At this point, comparing the two doesn't make much of any sense outside of both being part of the same series to be honest.

59:56. I beat the game. 50.48 I beat the game again on hard mode. Also, on hard mode I managed to take out over 30 guards by turtling in and out of cover. After the main mission, I thought I was about to get another one, what with the content of the cutscene, but nope. I did think the gameplay was fantastic, aside from the fact that it was to easy to go through guns blazing if you have any sort of skill at shooters.

I'm eager to explore more of the base now, but I really hope these shooter aspects disappear by the Phantom Pain.

Not really, both are short introductions to something new.

The MGS2 demo was about as lengthy, too.
Friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third.

Not really, both are short introductions to something new.

MGS2's demo and trailers sold expectations that were gonna be played with and from a gameplay perspective it was a refinement in all the right parts, but it didn't presented much of anything new overall. There is much more going on in the narrative and themes which makes it still the most interesting entry in the series.

GZ on the other hand is just sold as what it is; A prologue and a introduction to the potencial open world design of TTP. And considering how Peace Walker already compacted (and expanded on certain areas) on everything of what makes Metal Gear unique and interesting, is exciting to potentially see Metal Gear moving foward as a series if TPP succeed in its goals.

With all the noise going on with people crying about their money while others I've seen them having a great time with GZ, I found this review I thought it was nice to share.

It's funny, most people complaining are online denizens who were already aware that the game was short..
Whatever happened to speaking with your wallet?
Im a huge MGS fan but I don't intend on buying this, especially since I don't have a ps4 and I can't be arsed with buying the game twice just to have the definitive version later down the road. I'll wait until I get a PS4 to get this.
