It was Shrowser. XD Bowser was possessed by the Elder Queen Shroob and the battle was pretty much a dodge-fest.

SS had Bowletta and BIS had Dark Bowser, both infinitely better battles compared to that.

Wished they'd number the M&L games. There is a continuity after all, light as it may be.

Technically they do, assuming they're Nintendo.

I mostly pop in occasionally to give my two cents on certain controversial things, so if you disagree then send a PM, because I generally don't check for replies in threads in case I feel like replying and then things get heated/derailed.

Mario & Luigi Dream Team Volcano Boss

I have got this far and I am stuck.

Can anyone who has played Mario & Luigi games tell me, is levelling up in these games important to beating Bosses?

I got to the top of the mountain without to much trouble, avoiding battles where I could, but I am wondering if I need to go back and do some grinding.

We have a thread for this.

We have two threads for this!

On topic, I haven't gotten to that point yet.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

Explains why I couldn't remember it. Lame boss for a lame game.

I use my evil powers to merge in the volcano boss thread. I have also not reached that point yet. If it's a giant boss fight, I didn't think those used your regular levels & stats... But I don't actually know for sure.

Your powers are so evil that they've caused me to doublepost.

I know I've said this before, but I love Shimomura. The music in this game is so good. So is the humour.

Funny how the only two titles she's worked on the 3DS happen to have a dream theme going on.

Picked this up today not knowing it even came out along with DDS4! Excited to play since M&L RPG's are consistently high quality!

but I love Shimomura. The music in this game is so good.

This is in fact the main reason you were hired. Yes, I have that kind of pull.

Also, haven't played this yet, but Derek brought the music to my attention. It is indeed awesome.

My basic feeling of these is that they are fun to play, but completely forgettable.  I've played a couple of these throughout the year and I can't even remember which ones or their names.  Super Mario RPG on the SNES is definitely the exception.

I kinda feel this.  I'm not terribly excited for these games' announcements but happy when I do play them and whoever writes for the games does a damn fine job.  Mario RPG really jived better with me overall though.

Ooo good to see she was picked up for this.

Like they say, it's not who you know it's who's music you like.

I've always liked Super Mario RPG the best, the gameplay just clicks better to me. Luckily, every Mario RPG is pretty good - when I pick one up I'm always pleased.

Somnom Woods is the WORST offender in dodging challenges ever. How dare you lock me out from dodging during normal battles!
