Come play Wildstar!

When I log on I have to decide whether I'm working on Quests, Path Missions, Events, Challenges, Housing, Costumes, Tradeskills, Hobbies, Adventures, Dungeons, Arenas, or Warplots.

And the game JUST came out!

To be fair, that is LITERALLY everything you can do in XIV, except xiv has been out for 8 months now, so we did most of it.

Well put that into the context that the game also has 4 regions larger than the entirety of FFXIV currently.

Usually what happens with end-game and the only way to complete it is to grind at till you ready to puke...

I often play the rogue/ninja class in MMOs so I'm excited for it to come out. Looking forward to it.

im livid with the way they are handling it though. i dont dislike ninja but cmon relegrating rouge to class is just stupid. and they are moving way to slow with things like its a p2p game using f2p tactics.

For what reason are people saying this other than "because I said so"?

You might want to list some examples, because while I have my share of grievances with the game, I often see people complain about things that don't make sense.

For example, saying that the game is taking FTP strategies defined so vaguely that you can apply that to every P2P game:
"The game is too grindy"- Yes, but that's the same as basically every other MMO.
"They rehash content as hard modes to save on actual worK" - Yes, but that's the same as basically every other MMO.

Aside from the recent-released TESO and Wildstar (and the radically different EVE:O), WoW is basically the important P2P MMO left on the market. There is absolutely no way you can argue that WoW releases significantly more content than ARR does. What's more hilarious is that you often see the same people saying that 1.0 was somehow better in this regard.

If you want to see stupid F2P practices, look no further than things like TOR making you need to spend money to buy your hotbars, or LOTRO's "pay or poopsock" system. If anything ARR's doing the exact opposite of those practices with that weekly cap.

ARR's biggest failing to hardcore players is that it offers basically nothing if they enjoyed 1.0, XI, etc because they got rod of all the typical MMO timesinks, such as gathering pop items, 1% drop rates, or just plain huge amounts of a rare item- and after they did add it through the Zodiac weapons, there was little incentive to get such items because in old MMOs they were typically the best.

I'd prefer rogue/thief, but it is basically the same thing. Fast stabby guy. Having both is redundant unless ninja tanks.
