I'm not into battle themes as much as I am for the more relaxing tunes on an OST (see my post below), but Weapons of White was up my style.
I'm a bigger fan of Quaternary and Unary.... but I oddly like the crazy beats, they helped agitate me to solve the puzzles on deck.. Yeah, weird reasoning. I do like that one for being 1000x more chill though.
The FF7 Boss theme I forgot how good it was till you played it here.... I love when that weird synth instrument comes in, it's like something between a flute and a beep-sound (comes in at the 37 sec. mark). I also fully endorse boss/battle music with organs in it.
Oooh, I loved this one, had it as a cell phone ring tone till people said it was kinda intense (with that in mind, now it tells me when work is calling). Really catchy, oddly paced.http://youtu.be/v_8vgQS3do0
Star Ocean 2 - Moderate
I was going through a bad time as school when I picked up SO2, so the idea of being whisked away to some exotic planet sounded just dandy. But more than that, I loved how the game took you from a futuristic Earth to a really pretty, nature-filled planet; I think the town music in both Arlia and Mars (this song being from the latter) definitely give off that idea of being far from home, but still peaceful with that.http://youtu.be/tYfHuImlFzk
Atelier Ayesha - Rain in the Dried Up Valley
Very earthy-sound. There's a great buildup, a strong piano rhythm, and an exhiliterating crescendo at the 1minute mark.http://youtu.be/iLkfmnK7t20
Dragon's Dogma - Character Creation
Can you ask for a more weird blend of genres? Very interesting tune, back when the demo came out, I cleaned my room a bit and let the song play.http://youtu.be/qS_3GEdXvPQ
Halo 4 - Blue and Green (KOAN remix)
More chill music, very, very nice.
