I like the weird and creepy stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekPaYGVLifY

I always wonder the mind set you have to be in or the one you go into when writing Silent Hill (or any horror-type) songs.
I picture a dark room.

But I do love mood music. :)

"I think that the sounds in Resident Evil are pretty formal. I would say we are used to hearing them. Whereas for Silent Hill 2, I really tried to create something that would surprise you, something that would challenge your imagination as if the sounds were going under your skin. What I mean by that is to create a physical reaction for the gameplayer such as a feeling of apprehension and unease."

Featured on a recent Bombcast, the BEST pinball music ever.  Yes, apparently some pinball machines have full soundtracks, and at least one time it was THIS BITCHIN'

THE BLACK KNIGHT

I want to hear three remixes of this tune at MAGFest 2015.  Minimum.

FF XIII has a very good soundtrack even if not as memorable as some other entries in the series: Among the best are:(The battle theme is obvious so I wont even bother)

Prelude - http://youtu.be/RIbo3Z7DmkQ - I watched the opening atleast 1-2 everytime I booted up the game, it was glorious.
The Archylte Steppe - http://youtu.be/PBoBO0YMBys - I spent atleast 15 hours running around this field, it was fantastic, easily the most fun part of the game. The soothing music totally nailed the right atmosphere. The first time I saw this area, I was blown away, It looked so good that I couldnt believe it. It's easily the best looking game of this gen imo.
Will to Fight - http://youtu.be/JN9ulQ2P9Qg - The vocals during 2:50-3:50 really create this unique mood and are catchy as all hell. It's easily the best dungeon theme in the game.

Of the little that I played of XIII-2 I absolutely loved:

Invisible Invaders - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUSHpQ2vuI4 - Skip the first weird minute, then it's awesome.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 -  Noel's Theme - Absolutely awesome, the execution of Noel's backstory was brilliant.

While Kokia's English is better than most, I found the song distracting when you're playing in the field (and the change of musical pace when you'd hit a battle, which -- by the way -- also has an awesome tune).
Nevertheless, it is lovely and I love Noel a lot (that whole segment was wonderfully melancholy and my favorite part of 13-2).  I'm kinda surprised at a lack of LR music here..that OST is baller*.

KOKIA's singing Noel's Theme is easily my favorite song on XIII-2. That song gives me shivers and sometimes I cry.

I want to try to find the music from Late Night Yuisnaan because it reminds me a little of "The Landing" from FFVIII

EDIT: Ah. nevermind, I have no idea what I was hearing but it definitely wasn't that one.

Instead I'll post these:
Song of the Savior ~ The Chosen One
Song of the Savior ~ Grand Finale

One of my favorite VGM pieces of all time has received a very nifty remix.  Stickerbrush Symphony, originally in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest; new version is from the recent Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze.  Here it is, four ways:

DKC2 original
Tropical Freeze remix
SSBB remix
Smooth McGroove version

The one scene from a video game that resulted in soaking my face in tears (I've gotten choked up plenty of times, but this one caused full-on waterworks).
