This might be one of the best pieces of music I have ever heard come out of Nintendo. I absolutely adore this track.

The amount of swanky music in the last two posts is delightful

http://youtu.be/r1jQD6afKRQ  Star Ocean 3 (SO Forever: Jazz Version).  It says "jazz", but there's a lot more in there.

http://youtu.be/OJipZP9ZYy0   Tales of Xillia (City of Another Civilization).  I never get tired of this song, for a city theme, it's so damn chill.

http://youtu.be/7FRuvSm7DIg  FF13-2 (Knights of the Goddess).  This battle theme always makes me happy.  So much energy!!!!! :D

http://youtu.be/Gfxf4x3L1bs  Gravity Rush (Resistance and Extermination).  This one has a lot of energy too.  Classical instruments, a theme that is gentle, smooth, and exciting.

Unfortunately, there never was an official soundtrack release for Rune Factory Frontier; however, this song in its entirety is part of Nakatsuka Takeshi's "Kiss & Ride" album. Today, I have uploaded a much, much better wav ripped version of this track directly from the album (the rest of the album is very catchy, in case you're wondering ;)). I've also included a scan of the lyrics from this song from the booklet. Enjoy! :)

Zelda's 'Dark World Theme'.... on Banjos!
And now my favourite version of the song!

Now let us never talk of banjos ever again.

While this isn't strictly "VGM" exactly, these songs are clearly video game inspired, and the guy who composed these is, at the very least, attempting to work his way toward composing for video games. Just consider these...helping a budding composer get noticed! Guy's got a really unique style too. Think Sakuraba's PS1 works with some deep/dark/edgy undertones.
