Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- uses Unreal Engine 3 -- Source: Destructoid

It must be a modified version of UE3, with that I can guess that GGXrd might actually be a 360 and PS3 release after all.

Didn't the original trailer clearly show the Unreal Engine logo?  Not sure how this is news all of the sudden...

And just because they're doing something different with it doesn't necessarily mean the engine had to be modified.  Most of the work is on the art assets side of things.

The trailer didn't specify what version of the Unreal Engine was. Some people was sure that this was a UE4 game.

Many returning characters.  I'm not keen on many of the redesigns.

Millia, for one, traded white for yellow and smacked a licence plate on her head.  Then there's Chipp, May, Venom, ....But Potemkin looks like one rad-ass, bad-ass sh*t disturber.

Not liking the Chipp redesigned much and Venom is beltier than he's ever been, but overall I think things look good. Also Venom, fuck yes! I am super happy.

Yeah, me neither.  And that's a pretty good reason why.  Also, Ky looks more like a woman than ever before (and who would put a veil on their goddamn ponytail??! - Not even brides!).

Hoepfully it'll jive well with their new animating style.

Yeah, not a huge fan of some of the redesigns overall, but with how long some of the characters have been around and the new engine, I can see why they would want to try something a bit different. 

As much as I love Millia, I really hate the hat.  Hopefully one of the alternates is her without it, but who knows too early to say.

Chipp's muscles look too big.  Perhaps it's just the artwork.

This game needs Jam, Dizzy, and Faust before I even consider it.

I don't have too much doubt in my mind that most/all of the old cast will be in it. 

Regardless, I agree completely because:

Jam = awesome (even though her Japanese VA is hella annoying)
Dizzy = awesome
Faust = Do I need to say it?  Awesome.  I love his whacky playstyle.

Are you sure?  Most sites seem to be calling it official artwork.

Regardless the real news as far as I'm concerned is the loketests start on Friday.  Should start to see see some low quality gameplay videos start to popup soon.

Yea that's artwork, but the in-game models look pretty much exactly the same. Ahh the beauty of cel-shading.
