How is FF VI *not* about defeating an insane all-powerful being to restore hope to the world and release its denizens from fear?  I'm pretty sure that counts as saving. 

Yeah but you don't save the world, it gets destroyed half way through!

But then you go and save the remnants of the destroyed world. It doesn't count.

Which reminds me: Where the hell is a 3DS version of FF6? Boo.  I'd actually tell them to take back FF13-2-2 for that I think (I'll eat my words if 13-3 is actually good of course...but, ugh, I'm cautious).

Klutz, you think like I do.  I tried to like some of the designs (and I can't HELP but imagine what whack reason there's a pseudo-Serah villain in gothic clothes....wth), and even despite gameplay, the series has taken a dive for diverting its plot a complete 180.
