Haven't gotten around to playing DDD, so I'll admit there is still that to possibly change my mind, but for now I should clarify that I wasn't saying it was a particularly well written story, just that it isn't that hard to follow.

I don't think it's terribly hard to FOLLOW, true, at least up until DDD. DDD is a fun, fun game that has an abominable plot and bad level design. I don't want to spoil anything for you, but let's just say that absolutely nothing happens in DDD until the final area, and at that point SO MUCH happens at once that you're left going "...what?"

Squeenix also loves me not buying their games. The last game I bought from them was Deus Ex, and how much did they have to actually do with the making of that game?

They (SQEX) funded the project I think.

So where do the nanomachines come in?

In Kingdom Hearts? Never. :P

Yes, though they actually own all of Eidos' former studios (Crystal Dynamics too), so technically it was made by Square Enix, just without any direct involvement from their teams in Japan.

At least not until TIME KOMPRESSION occurs.

Its more of a question of how long before Squeenix's arcane business practices bleed the former Eidos' studios dry of any and all talent.

^Pretty much.

Well, all of that goes into a bigger problem in the industry with the big publishers wanting a larger expansion and going all Hollywood with their games in an effort to get some of the same money that Call of Duty has been doing for years. But yeah we'll see.
