Shuhei Yoshida loves the Oculus Rift.

When we asked whether the company's planning on offering support in the future, he only offered a "No comment" with a big smile.

Hmm...

I definitely plan on having the OR, and if PS4 supports it I'd be thrilled. RPG + OR + possibly ARAIG = bliss.

Aren't Oculus Rift and ARAIG mainly made for games designed in first person though?

Skyrim looked like it could be pretty neat played that way.

In first or third person you mean?

The whole thing with perspective if my biggest question because one of the guys working on Oculus Rift said a while ago that it breaks the entire experience if the game is not in first person. That and the fact that I've never seen a game on Oculus Rift (or ARAIG) from other perspective than first person.

Yes and yes. This isn't going to work for a tactical squad game very well other than moving to zoom around the battle field... but for a first person RPG this is the future I've dreamed of. Smaller squad based could use OR very well to just make you feel more like you're *in* the game, you'd only use/need Omni for the first person... but think of the glory. Skyrim, Gothic, Deus Ex, System Shock, Vampire the Masquerade, Thief, Fallout, Borderlands, Mass Effect, Bioshock.... there are a ton of FP POV games this would be amazing with.

*edit* And for games that are 3rd person or top down... this might actually make first person viable. I'd be highly interested in a Diablo/Path of Exile that could do first person with this combo... constant turning and scanning because demons could pop up anywhere could turn ARPG into something more pants shitting.

But seriously, this was pretty much the one thing I wanted to hear about this game.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

They must figure anyone who bought a Wii u has tripped up enough.

Apparently you can randomly trip in SSBB. It was meant to encourage the random nature of the games and discourage the competitive aspect, but to me that just sounds dumb and not like a random thing that can actually make the game more fun.

So the power of the new inFamous protagonist is... stealing powers? This is Open-World Grunge Mega Man starring Troy Baker?  I dig it.

Were there any surprise announcements from the likes of Capcom/Konami/Atlus?
