For most books and all music. Yes.

For games? Only if I'm guaranteed I'll have access forever... but I'm not. So no.

Nope, I love my physical games and collector's editions while I conceptually hate the concept of the cloud aka no guarantee that I'll have access to my purchases a decade from now. I'll be stubbornly purchasing physical copies for as long as they keep making them.

If owning digital content means I own it and have no BS restrictions on it then yeah, digital distribution all the way. I don't see any problems with it assuming the actual rights of the owners don't change. But people saying things like cloud storage and possible loss down the road....these should not be issues that affect our digital content but inevitably will. So until laws are passed regarding the safety on the user end of owning digital media, fuck that. My digital content will stay on hard drives and such and have a hopefully solid backup as well.

You raise a good point with backups - I do backup digital purchases on my PC.

I kind of look at it like a bank - I don't keep my money in a safe or invest it all in gold bars, my money basically exists as digits on various websites. I think of other property the same way.

But I definitely GET why people think differently.

To paraphrase Charlton Heston "You'll take my discs.....from my cold, dead hands."

On the other hand, I have no problem with getting Korean books for reasonable prices. I basically pay the same price and shipping isn't insane.

I might be able to help you if there's something you can't find.

I avoid online multiplayer because my brain still works.
