My bad. I forgot that they'll make Xbox avatar accessories as well.

I hope EA buys Atlus.

For what? To get "BioWare Japan" out of it? That doesn't sound appealing to me.

Wouldnt it be the dream if they merged with some other niche publisher like aksys, xseed or NIS?

I would say no to most of those, but Marvelous Entertainment (parent company of Xseed) might actually make a decent suitor...not sure they actually have the money for it, though.

I haven't investigated the details, but I'm pretty sure it will end up in restructuring and nothing more. Bankruptcy is not always (and rarely) a complete demolishing of a company and its assets, lol. If anything, it's a good thing.

Maybe Square-Enix will by out Atlus and then on the first day under their new bosses the Atlus employees will do a little... restructuring of their own.

Only thing SQEX has ever touched from Atlus as far as I know was P4 (PS2) for Europe.

It depends on the extent of debt they're in and how much will restructuring undo, and how willing are the executives willing to knuckle under and start rebuilding their company versus selling out, taking the money, and running.
In my vision, I see that one of us is going to KO the other.

This isn't typical "We ran out of money" bankruptcy. This is "We've been fudging the numbers for gods know how long" bankruptcy.
