doesnt anyone think the 360 rpg from tri ace might be somehow related to star ocean? the only reason i ask is because last night i unlocked music mode with battle trophys and the music that plays at the star ocean title screen is called "into the ocean of undiscovery".

Well, it's a Tri-Ace game, so you're guaranteed to have some cameos in there somewhere.

As far as being part of the Star Ocean series... I doubt it.  It doesn't hurt to wish really hard, though.

Hopefully in the next few years a proper next game in the Star Ocean series will be announced.  I'd even settle for a remake/port of Star Ocean (SFC) :)

It was announced as an original title. Besides, if it was somehow related to the Star Ocean series (by being a gaiden or whatever), Square Enix, not Microsoft Game Studios would probably publish the game. While I'm not 100% sure, I suppose the Star Ocean series trademark (just like Valkyrie Profile) is owned by Square Enix.

Your mistake is in thinking that Sakuraba's song titles have any sort of deep meaning.  "Eternal Hydrogen Anxieties"?  "In Order to Acquire the Light in That Hand"?  "So Alone, Be Sorrow"?  That shit barely qualifies as Engrish. :P
