One of mine off the top of my head is in FFIV when:

Code:
Cecil conquers his dark side and becomes a Paladin

My FF5 moment would be when Gilgamesh does that thing at the end. The 'last' thing.

Some other ones I can think of would be:
- Yakuza 4's last multi epic fight with the small talks in-between
- Charging a 100% Replekia Ar Tonelico with Synchronicity Chain in Ar Tonelico 2
- The end of almost every Pheonix Wright's case when Pheonix's theme starts playing and you're demolishing the prosecution
- The Vascillia Sky level in ZoE2 makes you feel really awesome
- Whenever you fire Maria's Energy Burst in Star Ocean 3. One of the most awesome move I've seen in an RPG

Other badass moments.

The final mission within Fort Nova in SaGa Frontier 2 on Gustav's route.

Getting the Hyper Beam in Super Metroid.

Getting the Master Sword in a Link to the Past.

Watching Sabin suplex that motherfuckin' train in FFVI.

The final showdown against Baby Bowser in Yoshi's Island.

Link's finishing blow to Ganondorf in Wind Waker.

Winning that one battle between Pahn and Teo McDohl in Suikoden 1.

The respective last stands of more than half of FF IV's main cast.  Even if most of them survive.

FROG. CUTS. MOUNTAIN.

When you see Zack's final moments in Crisis Core just before and during the end credits, it's something really special.  100x better than the same scene playing out in FF VII.

And that was your Square in the 90s Badass Minute.

this topic is interesting because it shows just how much the definition of badass varies from person to person.

Yeah, that's a good point.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow would definitely deserve a spot on the list for the titan fights. Towering monstrosities, each one larger than the last. The badass moment however, isnthe stance you take when you stare down these pricks, camera angle pointing upward from behind you looking up and all you see is Gabriel Belmont, ready to wreck face. Can't find the photo I most want, but here's the second titan you fight.

Chrono Trigger - the sidequest when Flea, Ozzie & Slash when you have to fight them all at once. Maybe it's just that boss battle music that is so badass, but the battle felt so epic.

I agree.  "Badass-itude" is in the eye of the beholder, and I say viva la difference.

Dunban from Xenoblade had a lot of badass moments.

The first time the third colossus raises its sword to strike you down in shadow of the colossus was totally badass. The moment is even better if Wander has been tossed to the side and struggling to get up as the sword falls, although it is more a moment of panic than badassery then.

I was not a big fan of the story mode in Soul Calibur 3, much preferring Chronicles of the Sword but a quote from one of the last bosses on an evil character's route was totally badass
Code:
Siegfried: If you have come for the sword don't expect to get out of here alive. Sorry to keep you, you're up next!

The line is totally cheesy to the extreme but works in that scene

I'll do one better and specifically mention the battle in the desert where he shows up and Bart tries to get clever and runs him over with his sand submarine. Too bad he only succeeded in pissing him off.

Also just remembered Cornelius from Odin's Sphere and his awesome ability to turn himself into a hopping, whirling, bunny buzzsaw of doom. Too bad it really wasn't that useful in practice (not like it would've helped his end game much anyways what with all the fucking wizards everywhere).

Gonna add another FFIV moment I just remembered.

Code:
During the seemingly hopeless fight with Golbez and the Shadow Dragon: When Rydia unexpectedly comes to your aid with a surprise killer summon.
Total badass-ery.
