A little wishful thinking never hurt anyone.  So to add to the wishful thinking pile of collections (we already mentioned Shadow Hearts series, Wild Arms series, and Xenogears/Saga series) I add Grandia series!

No Dual Audio, no buy.

Japanese laughing scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAgVjH9V9Ps (starts at 5:45.  Laughing at about 8:01)

English laughing scene:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg9I54vFFms

I actually liked the English version better.  My muddled thoughts on the laughing scene are in this thread: http://www.rpgfan.com/boards/index.php?topic=6353.0

It's so weird to think the English version did a better job depicting a terrible scene than the original Japanese one.

...I wonder if they're gonna scout the voice actors down for the extra 30 minutes of cutscene.

X's Japanese voice acting is really, really bad.  The English voice acting is 10/10 in comparison.

I've no idea why you'd even want it.

Oh, apologies. I wasn't referring to "you" as in, er "you." I meant in general.

They're going to do FFXII HD next if this sells well.

I certainly hope so.  I've love to have an official western release of International Zodiac Job System.

FFXII in HD on the Vita would be amazing. I loaded up a save with about 96 hours on it about a week ago. Good times.

This!  I've pissed and moaned enough about the License Board yet the Zodiac system sounds good.  I'd want FF12 HD remix if it's the International version with the Zodiac system.

As for FFX, love it or hate it (it's linear, repetitive, some plot elements and characters are polarizing, etc.) I still think it has the best battle system I've encountered in a Final Fantasy game and still wonder why it hasn't ever been used again.

I've always thought it was the writing that was more at fault and that that scene couldn't have been done well.

But my god that was awful.

I've considered the not so official version a few times and oddly get turned off by it. I generally hate the give everyone everything 'customization' and the licence grid is the worst of the offenders. But that's what the game was made around. So I might look at gamefaqs and go 'what do I get for being a archer' and find the answer is..nothing really. You get a bow. There's no bow specials or anything because you're still playing ff12. It just comes off less as being a specialist and more as limiting.

Who knows though, on paper it doesn't look so hot, but maybe I'll play it one day and it'll win me over.

The problem with vanilla XII's license board is that it's actually really hard to specialize. Everyone ends up the same because everyone starts in really similar spots and when your characters are completely interchangeable in terms of skills and useable weapons, what's the point of having a choice of characters? You almost always end up with a really weird selection of skills at first with the characters too, because you sort of need to go for the Quickenings and some of them are in the stupidest spots.

That and you can easily fill the entire first license board (sans the very best weapon/armor/spell slots) by level 40.

Final Fantasy X/X-2's ending voice drama takes place a year after FFX-2 -- Source: Nova Crystallis

"This new story is said to take place one year following the events of Final Fantasy X-2 and will feature all new characters. Square Enix is also preparing illustrations to accompany the episode, in place of actual cutscenes. Although the games are being split up for PS Vita, the audio drama will be available for both console and handheld releases."

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will have International edition content -- Source: Siliconera

"The International edition of Final Fantasy X includes bonus features like Dark Aeons, bonus boss battles, and a 14-minute video clip, titled "Eternal Calm," which bridges the story of Final Fantasy X and its sequel Final Fantasy X-2. Regarding the Last Mission, Square told Polygon in May that its inclusion would be dependent on disc capacity."

"Kitase mentioned the possibility of Last Mission's inclusion in a separate interview, and we've updated our report to reflect this."

How the shit can Last Mission not fit on a bluray? It can't possibly be THAT MUCH SPACE. Further, if they're digital, it REALLY doesn't matter if it fits on a bluray. And you're telling me they can fit a 30 minute video on the disc, but not content that was original in the game?

No.
Friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third.
