Wow!  The remastered track is beautiful.

Seeing how impressive this version is coming along, just makes me want Final Fantasy XII: IZJS HD even more.

The image is a surprisingly lovely remake of the original art...  I'm kinda impressed?

Tidus still looks like Meg Ryan though (them lips... he's too " :3 ").

It's like if FF13 as a "musical entity" slapped FFX as a musical entity and that happened.

Not bad.  The original gets to the "point" faster with less musical flourishes (yeah I don't know music terminology -- where's Taelus?).  The violin is nice, but I think a bit of a distraction from the original's mood.  This sounds a lot more romantic almost.
But it's still very, very nice.

Cross play seems unlike but I doubt they make it cross buy.
If anything cross play may make people consider buying both versions but so far it seems only sony and some indies have adopted cross buy, which is a shame.

Eh, in the case of the Besaid theme, I can definitely respect what it does and its quality is undeniable - that beautiful violin section - but I prefer the original.  I'm almost tempted to say there's too much going on in the new one.  I feel like it's the missing the "bubbly" quality in its heavier use of piano.

I think I prefer OG Besaid to Nu Besaid.  The violin just doesn't feel as airy, ya know?  I think it's because of all the sustained notes.  The piano not having sustained notes just lets the song breathe more.

The Besaid Island theme sounds waaaaaaaay slower and mellower than the original sound to me. I liked it faster.
