I like it, though I'm not going to accuse anyone who doesn't like it of wearing nostalgia goggles, I hate that argument.

Was it confirmed that you can switch soundtracks in the game?

The new version is still a very good piece of music, but it just doesn't have the "breeziness" the old version had, and considering the type of environment Besaid is, the theme should be airy and breezy.  It's like with the FF7 remaster soundtrack I reviewed.  Some of the pieces, while excellent, had a few stylistic choices I wasn't quite feeling, such as sections where notes that ring out were replaced with notes with quick cut-offs, and that just didn't work contextually.

Games I've given Editor's Choice to:
Ever 17, Hourglass of Summer, Anachronox, Persona PSP, Radiant Historia, To The Moon, Revolution 60

Now she kinda looks more like Lulu on Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Lovely boxart.

I really hope the "art book" (+game case hybrid) we get is better than the lousy ten-page one we got with Kingdom Hearts HD.

Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster will have International Dresspheres and Creature Creator

Quote
It’s also possible to capture other Final Fantasy X characters like Tidus, lulu, Kimahri, and even Seymour plus NPCs like Nooj.

How the hell can this even work?

I remember you can get Tidus on X-2 International for the Coliseum, or something like that.

I mean story/world, not mechanics.

Also, capturing pregnant Lulu and forcing her to battle sounds like a complete jerk move.

I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem that they made the Coliseum to have connections with the narrative like it does in XIII-2. It all works from the perspective of mechanics.

So, Feb-Mar 2014 on PS3 gives us the FFX, FFX-2 Remasters, Lightning Returns, Dark Souls , and South Park: The Stick of Truth. All of which I was looking to pre-order, gonna be a busy month or so. Glad I'm not looking to get a new console or anything... Hell, I've got so much in my backlog that I'm already set for a few years as it is.
