Hello

Say we're having a strange issue with the X-2 game. Been playing X on my original ps3 just fine, everything is working great. My wife wanted to try X-2 tonight as she never played it. Put the disc in the slim ps3 that we have on our home theater and went to launch X-2 and got this trophy initialization error, please exit game message, which I've never seen before. Tried it a couple of times.

Took this disc back on my original release ps3 and got the same message there too on the X-2 game. Anybody know what the heck is going on there?

Thanks

Those errors are the worst and usually require completely restoring your system after backing up your hard drive.

Here's a helpful link:

I read through all that but the error that I was getting on both consoles doesn't really match any of those and heres the really weird thing, somebody else was having this exact same issue in this thread. I'm xlorthosx on there....and I tried washing the disc and it worked lol

Wow that is crazy. Glad it worked. Hope that doesn't happen to me, but I won't get to X-2 for awhile haha.

^ Damn that's a nice image.  Wish they had the time[?] to use it for official release propaganda.

So.  Did anyone listen to the 30 minute audio drama?  Anyone else kinda like it then kinda go "aaaugh"?  I was also stupidly amused by how everyone's voices had changed since the in-game audio was done (that's all 10+ years old now). x)

I haven't listened to it yet. Kind of wanted to wait till I finished FFX since it takes place after correct?

You should all read the story the writer wrote before the events of the audio drama.

It goes something like this:

Read that if you want to know the full details.

But to summarize things...

Tidus and Yuna get stranded on an island together.

Tidus finds a "blitzball" and kicks it out of boredom.

The writer suddenly makes the scene so random and tragic by pointing out that Tidus actually kicked a bomb and died in the explosion. Yuna cries when Tidus's head falls to her side with a frozen look of shock.

This should have been in the main game.

Isn't the whole thing with the novel bullshit? I've never seen the novel translated and what it has been said of it is just sounds (to me) like a bunch of people overreacting because of some poor translation of a few pages.

Of course I could be wrong and the novel is as dumb as it has been mentioned. But still, I rather read the entire novel before freaking out.

The audio drama is sort of annoying to me since I don't particularly like the way Nojima writes his stories. It sucks that he's the script writer for XV... I'm crossing my fingers for him to do a good job since the idea behind the scenario in XV has potential in itself, but at this point I don't expect much of anything from him.
