Persona 3 Unveiled

I've also been excited about this game for a while. I went and tried to play my copy of EP to prepare for 3's release, but here at school, my friend's PS2 won't read the disc.

That's a bummer.  I've been playing EP as well, it works fine on my PS2.

The videos are interesting, one of the girls can summon her Persona without a gun.

New movie.  Pretty interesting scenes and it has a lot of new gameplay footage.  Graphics look pretty sweet.  The artwork looks so fricken awsome and just everything about it looks stylish as hell.  The gun-to-the-head summon doesn't look as bad as I thought (I imagined a lot of blood).

Hot damn, that is one amazing joystick. Truly incredible. Or maybe I'm just easily amused. ;)

I'm not going to import this game since Atlus has announced a US release (although who knows when?), but I think I may order a music CD or two for it while I wait for the US version. :)

Does anybody else find it strange that a dog can summon a persona?
From some recent famitsu scans, it shows that Koromaru has a persona named Cerberus.

I would argue that animals do have emotions, but as for a well defined concept of self, I don't know.

There is also a little Kid Persona user... that should be interesting.

As for the dog, I haven't seen any footage of him fighting with a Persona.  Only that knife of his.

... there is also an android character. o.O

Some interesting concepts and ideas.  Looking back at any SMT title they have always been a bit out there.  But they are always executed rather nicely in the end.

And, yeah, I think Personae are kinda like the stands in Jojo.

So Kazuma Kaneko has nothing to do with this game at all? Hmm, that seems odd to me since it is a MegaTen spin off, but whatever, I still love this guy's art style. I guess I'm just used to Kaneko's amzing art.

Kaneko might not be doing the artwork himself, but clearly his influence is still apart of the game.  I honestly thought it was Kaneko's work at first sight.

In any case, this guy is quiet good (I can't recall his name ><)...  He has a great style and he drew every single piece of ingame artwork for Persona 2...  Yup, basicly everything you were looking at was done by him. :)

Ingame artwork.  Kaneko's only did the concept art.  I mean, he drew all the ingame character portraits, all the sprites, city maps, etc.
