I played on the higher difficulties for a bit and the main difference seems to be enemy HP (it goes up by 50% or so every difficulty level). I didn't notice taking more damage or anything. It might be different on unknown, but I haven't tried that one yet (and it's only available on a new game+, I think).

I did it for a little bit in the import version and it just seemed like the enemies had a lot more health.  Granted, I only did it for a few battles.

Yeah, they take longer to go down but I'm still nowhere near getting game overed.
What are you guys playing on? I feel really bummed that there is no incentive to playing on high difficulty in this one =(

EDIT: Also Jude + Alvin = DEMONIC HAM !!!

Enjoying the game, but fack got spoiled tonight searching for a random stupid tidbit.  And not by Dice this time.  Maybe if I just drink a lot I'll just forget it?

That sucks. I'm actually trying to get all sub quests without a guide for once. It's a little tedious going back to every single town/dungeon every time a main event is updated, but I have yet to do it and not find at least one thing I would have otherwise completely missed.

EDIT: Though I must say early fast travel is a GODSEND

My Blog - It's about gaming stuff. You can read it if you want. No pressure. I mean, there's a link there you just have to click on, but... y'know... whatever.

Drink a until you black out and repeat that immediately upon waking.
Source - I played Surgeon Simulator, so I'm qualified to give medical advice.

On a more serious note though I have a PS3 I haven't yet gotten to Graces F or Xilia as I'm working on years of backlog, so it's pretty stupid/dangerous to keep checking this thread... but I can't help myself. >.<

Jude follows his penis like a divining rod.

I am in no position to criticize his instincts.

Ditto.

I picked Milla because hair.

Hours later and the game is still really easy on hard.
I can't understand anyone playing this on normal or moderate...

I started as Jude tonight, and I tried hard mode from the start...got my ass nearly handed to me simply due to the fight taking forever and getting chipped from sloppy maneuvers. Also, the first boss raped me for leaving it on hard, 2 attacks and Jude was dead...idk what hard mode you guys are playing, but I have played many a tales game and this wasn't a simple cake walk.

I take it back. The game WAS a piece of cake on hard... until I got to Jiao.

Holy fucking hell! What the fuck is up with this boss?
At low health he just roams around in iron stance killing everyone with AoE blasts while making sure there is ALWAYS 4 minions summoned.
This feels WORST than Vesperia when you got to the boss with the flowers.

That's odd, I never really had problems anywhere in the game when I played through it a year ago. Are you guys sure you're playing it right? :P

Well, I did just beat him on the 4th try... Basically concentrated on the minions and abused chained arts to pump out the required damage to quickly diminush the minion numbers.
That was quite a bump in difficulty =/

Yeah, I was actually thinking earlier that my only real issue with the game is that even on hard mode it's incredibly easy. That aside, I'm loving the whole game.
Friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third.

The bosses can be pretty tough, but most have an elemental weakness you can exploit. Spamming the right moves makes things a lot easier.
