A Plus version already?  Really?

I'm with Kevadu about Ciel no Surge, though.  I've been waiting for an offline version ever since it was announced originally.

Hold off, it looks like we're getting an EU release at least.

They better do Ciel Nosurge too.  Having actually played Ar Nosurge without Ciel it really does feel like you're missing a lot...

Totally importing the EU release unless we get news of a US release between now and then.

No word on Ciel...I can't say that I'm surprised but it is extremely disappointing.

I really outta read up on Ciel, since I didn't bother once I knew it wouldn't make it over, but hearing that it's a sim makes me wonder if it's anything like Princess Maker. PM2 was the shit, man...

Anyways, it's odd that Ar no Surge is still undecided for the NA market, but then again, I'm still undecided if I like the sound of its gameplay or not...the videos I saw didn't help either...

You mean the two battles per hour gameplay then lots and lots of dialogue?
The game looks interesting, but from what I've seen the one thing it ISN'T is brief.

From my understanding (as somebody who hasn't actually played the game but has at least researched it and watched some gameplay vids at least), I think it's better to just think of Ciel as a VN with a somewhat unusual presentation.  The whole idea is that you're not playing a character, but rather interacting with Ion directly through some kind of terminal that connects you to her world (in other words, your Vita...bet you didn't know it could do that).  Ion is living in this crazy dream world and her memories are a complete mess, so the real goal is to help reconstruct her memories and figure out what the heck happened to her.

There's a whole online/social element to the game too, but it sounds like that's being taken out entirely for the offline version.  Which I'm totally OK with ;)

In Ar Nosurge Ion has gotten her memories back and is one of the main characters in the game.  And let's just say that the shit that happened to her--which you're supposed to know already from playing Ciel--is pretty friggin important in Ar.  Sure you can try to piece things together, as I kind of did, but I really wish I played Ciel first now...that's why I'm upset that they're not even localizing Ciel.

Edit:
TK America's twitter account confirmed that Ar Nosurge will be coming to the US as well.  Details will come later.

Well, for whatever it's worth the offline version was JUST announced, and that probably would make a good cheap downloadable title.

Hurray, I won't have to import the game now. Hopefully the US release won't be too far behind the European release.

Really wondering with this European release in such close proximity to Fairy Fencer F in the US, if in fact the US release will be held off. No matter what the case its good news. This years releases were not terribly appealing to me as of yet, but come August with Xillia 2 then Fairy Fencer in september and now this I'm getting pretty freakin' excited. Tough choices will have to be made this fall.... tough choices indeed.

Personally, I'd take Ar noSurge any day over Xillia 2 and Fairy Fencer F...and I'm still not entirely sold on it...

Blasphemy... LoL

Tales (particularly this generation) is why I remained on board as an enthusiastic fan of JRPGs. Xillia was a weak entry but I sort of expect Xillia 2 to be more of a narrative sequel (hopefully) proving more akin in design and appeal to other entries in the franchise.

Truthfully though, I haven't followed much on Ar Nosurge so I really have no frame of reference here. Outside of knowing aesthetically the game looks right in line with my personal tastes I'm more or less in the dark.
