This problem has plagued me for ages and I feel it has finally become enough of a nuisance to try and solve it.

Word verification/audio verification and captcha thingies WILL NOT appear or load anywhere for me. This is not a site specific issue, nor a browser specific issue. I cannot complete any sign-up requiring it and have tried reloading the same page in multiple IE browsers and chrome browsers.

Additionally I tried lowering all security and privacy settings to their minimum to see if that solves the problem... it did not. I have basically tried screwing with every setting in the "tools" or "settings" tabs in my browsers with no luck so I don't believe the problem lies there....

Anyone have any ideas? In the past I have been using my Iphone to sign up for stuff as a work-around for the problem but I would love to fix it.

Could be a pop up blocker of some sort.

I've turned off every security setting/protection/restriction/blocking thingy I could find and I am using firefox. The problem appears in BOTH internet explorer AND firefox browsers.

Could it be due to an extension or add-on in your browser? I know most of my issues with chrome are due to a new thing popping up in extensions.

In Firefox, go Help -> Troubleshooting -> reset

It's usually the best thing to try for weird problems.
