Yeah it's like a wasteland here. All I've been seeing is ports of stuff I don't care about (Final Fantasy X/X2 HD and the Atelier series come to mind) and ports of stuff I do care about (Persona 4 and Rainbow Moon).

Personally I'm thinking about selling my Vita to finally get the 3DS I want, but I feel like jumping ship is just gonna make me regret it later. So what do you guys think? Is the Vita a bust or is it just having a slow start like the PS3 and PSP?

Uh, the Vita is already getting better.  Did you miss the about...10 RPGs and VNs that are getting released in the west within the next 6 months?

It's bound to have something that would make you regret having sold it.

Ys Celceta, Tearaway, Sorcery Saga, Demon Gaze, Danganronpa, not to mention a giant pile of indie stuff.

Nope, nothing upcoming for the Vita.

Good for the Vita to become the second RPG Heaven after the 3DS, but...just RPGs?

It's fair to say a lot is coming up for it, but if none appeal, then what's the difference in when asking if it'll "get better"?

I'm kind of avoiding it because nothing has made me want to sink into that $200 price tag (made even more ridiculous by a more-or-less "sold separately" memory card -- unless you're good with the 5gb, but YMMV).

Considering that the Vita is home to one of my new favorite RPGs, Muramasa Rebirth, I do not regret purchasing it.

Not an RPG but check out the Killzone game. It's better than most console shooters!

I have more games I want to play on my Vita than I have time to play them. It has already gotten better, IMO.

How is the Katamari game?

Played it on my GFs Vita. It's solid.

I won't be sold on the Vita until the price drops. $200 is still too much.

I really want a Vita.  Even if it's just a Persona 4 Golden machine that also has a few indie titles on it.

To answer the question:  If you don't like what the Vita has now and don't like the price -- then wait.  When asking if it will it get better (because you're *not* digging the current library) then maybe, or maybe not.  Maybe ya just gotta wait it out.

if you're worried about money going to the right place and want a handheld, I think the 3DS is the best bet.

I love my Vita. People calling it the P4G machine, however much of a joke it is, is wrong. It has so much more to offer than an RPG that everyone has already played. So many great games coming out for it soon, not to mention that Killzone Mercenary. Seriously, best handheld shooter ever. You have no shortage of rpgs either, with all of the ones already on PSN. Seriously, great console.
