Broadband

well it may be funny to others and to some serious but i truely need help with this whole broadband thing i have many questions can anyone answer them all? this is all concerning the Wii mind you like what will work with Wii and such

1. is Broadband like Dsl? are they the same??
2. do i need a router and a modem or one or the other and what exactly are the two and what is the difference between a wireless one and non-wireless
3. how does it connect just from the wall to the router or modem then into the Wii or computer?
4. do you have to buy anything else other then a Modem and or Router
5. what all is needed to run the Wii online
6. what are some good providers that you guys can list
