Not to mention the game industry. Youtube fodder is now a type of game.

There is a piece of Broccoli that pops up and if you click on it, it brings you to this page

I dunno about everyone else but that tree, font and blue background behind the height measurement screams Etrian Odyssey to me. Maybe Untold 2  as when you keep climbing the tree it eventually says 2DX coming soon.

That's my guess as well. Especially if you read it as EO2 DX.

Pardon the double post, but this is one of those rare times its worth creating a new post for.

http://www.siliconera.com/2014/06/23/suikoden-creator-yoshitaka-murayama-working-new-project-targeted-west/

This has got to be the first piece of actual good news for Suikoden fans in like a decade.

Interesting, but it always worries me when Japanese creators say they are making something with a Western audience in mind.

It ranges wildly from meaning "It won't be a slice of life anime type game" to "it has guns in it and everything is grey".

To be fair, we did end up getting the better deal out of that package.

Either way though, just the fact that we're hearing from the guy behind the series doing something game related is a hell of a lot better than hearing that Konami has just contacted Tri-Ace to make a Suikoden game for them (because they don't remember how to make RPGs).

Oh I'll never deny that.
Father-Daughter felt a billion times more real/honest... and less weird.

I feel like all Konami is doing these days is giving the MGS series all the money it wants.  Or my memory is failing me about what else is happeing.

Most of the business Konami does is stuff related to their territory.

...HUH???

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/06/25/platinum-games-the-legend-of-korra-coming-in-2014

Without a doubt the most random collaboration I've heard in ages.  I think I'd be more excited if this didn't feel like a all-too-common cash-in on a TV-based game (PROVE ME WRONG, ALMIGHTY PLATINUM).

Platinum takes a job out of any company that can fund the project for them, so from that point of view is not so weird seeing this happening. Still, I don't know how I should react to this even if I haven't seen the show yet.

This is most likely the only time Activision is gonna get my money though.

I like how the 3DS version is a Turn-based Strategy game. Seriously, what?

If the game ends up being bad then a lot of the blame is gonna fall in Activision's shoulders for being such a shitty publisher.

I keep hearing Korra the show is awful, but I never claimed to play MGRR for the story. =P

^The story in Rising is quite good. Most people don't put attention to it because they are too busy cutting everything in half or don't like to put attention to the stories in Metal Gear because "lol video games".
