Anything can still happen, but if it succeeds, this is one hell of a comeback. I'm looking forward to this and Darkest Dungeon (which met its goal before 24 hours).

Wow the darkest dungeon looks really interesting, thanks for this.

I'm both stunned and a little saddened that this turned around so fast. You shouldn't be able to earn 600k just off name recognition when the devs at the helm clearly have little to no idea of what they want to do. The director didn't even know if it would be 2D or 3D when asked during the reddit AMA.

And that's a good point.  But I think it's almost like the contributers are at gun point.  Do we accept that there's next to nothing known or do we risk losing a game by this talent pool?

The game is being made regardless. They want 600k just to put it on PC.

I'd rather see this fail so a harsh lesson is taught.

But it's going to make it, that's clear at this point.


I hope for the backers' sake that they don't get as played for fools as I expect they will.

I enjoyed CoH2. That's more than I bet will be said of this game. And at least Vic had an idea of what they wanted to do, not concept art and big names.

Not that it would matter much these days. I bet he has a decent idea of what I wants the game to look like, but they're experimenting to see how to best accomplish that look. A mix of 2D and 3D would make perfect sense btw.

Haha.....no. The last 48 hour rush was enough to get to the base goal, but odds are in favor of it even hitting the 750k goal are extremely low.

Yeah, I know... lol.  It's just great to see it beyond $600,000, but it should've been like this, two weeks ago, though :/

I upped my pledge from $20 to $50 the other day, but couldn't push myself to get the "Kickstarter Special Character Pledge". I figured if I want the two extra classes I could purchase them for $5/piece instead (I think that's the cost, but not sure...) of doing another leap to $80 when the game comes out. Getting to $600k today was bittersweet. I was hoping for more enthusiasm on both sides with more gamer pledges and developer activity throughout the funding process. Would have liked to see it on Vita or 3DS as well, but I'll manage with the PC version. Best of luck to the Playdek team. I hope their vision becomes fine tuned post Kickstarter campaign.
