Saw it last night on TV right after CSI.....

Is it just me or does the CGI seem to be a small step down from the previous films?

Still, I can't wait to see it.

Yeah, a lot of the CGI shots don't look quite finished. I'm sure they'll be dandy by the time it comes out though.

I heard from my friend Ryan today that they changed the head CGI dude before making this film. Apparently he refused to do the third movie.

Take it for what it's worth. I don't know if it's true.

I'm still unimpressed. The only thing I'm looking forward to in the movie is the Peter/Harry conflict. I think that Sandman, Harry, and Venom is a little much for the movie to handle in two and a half hours.

I won't lie though, I hope the movie proves me wrong, but I'm still very skeptical.

The trailer was okay, bit disappointed with no Venom footage.

Although I wonder why they didn't finish this one though it has Venom at the end.

I'm confused.

Venom is spiderman?  I don't know the spiderman story and the person I used to ask is gone so I'm clueless.

All I know comes from the MvC 2 game where Venom was huge compared to Spiderman.

If I recall correctly, in the original story, Venom is created by a symbiote from outer space. I think Spidey deals with it first, then Brock is turned into Venom by his inner vengeful feelings.

Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm guessing off of the cartoon and some of the PSOne Spiderman game. Of course, back then, I thought Carnage was cool. Don't trust me. :P

Venom himself is basically two people: The Symbiote and Eddie Brock. The movie, from the looks of it, is going to center around Spiderman's struggle with the Symbiote, which made him even stronger than before but also began to turn him evil, since the symbiote has a mind of his own. My assumption here is that Venom won't appear until the end of the movie, after Spiderman has gotten rid of the symbiote.

That's what I was thinking as well.  I'll be really pissed if Venom makes an appearance at the end of the movie just to be a set-up for Spider-man 4.  I hate the villians they've had so far just as I hated them in the comics I read as a kid.  I'm all about Venom, Carnage, Demogoblin, Morbius(technically he's not a villian, i know) and even Kraven.  I just find a lot of Spidey's "classic" foes really shitty...maybe it's just me:P
