And PS4 is almost straight up playable by today's standards. It's roughly at the same level of quality as FFs IV and V and BoFIII (actually, PS4 is easily better than BoF3).
This. I never beat it, but have started it and got to some cave where I would get owned over and over.
Remember the desert and the mistranslated signpost in BoF3? That alone makes PS4 better than BoF3, imho.
Funnily enough I never had problems with BoF3's desert. I went through it in like an hour. Later I discovered you could simply walk in the same direction(northeast?) forever until it ended.(and essentially get past it in 5 minutes.). I remember when I was like 3 years old and I have memories of watching my brothers trying to get through it, they were pretty stuck but they seemed to be having fun and they eventually fnished the game.
I never played PS4 but I doubt it's more playable than BoF3 because to me it is extremely smooth, enjoyable and hassle free. At the same time, I pretty much know that game like the back of my hand. Then again, I might not have the most unbiased judgement here.. BoF3 is afterall one of my favourite rpgs of all time.
Annubis, BoF3 has a rather boring early game, have you ever gotten past the Teepo and Rei section of the game? That part is basically a prologue(it's still highly enjoyable for me, especially with things happening like killing a huge monster only to find out it was only trying to protect it's dead cubs(I cried), not to mention the awesome OST, it gets reallly good after that but it only gets awesome after Wyndia I'd say. The 2nd half of the game is masterpiece. It's fairly short, shouldnt take more than 25-35 hours to beat overall.
