He's brushing his teeth with an invisible toothbrush.

And now I can't unsee it.

He's using one of those electronic toothbrushes. The really fancy kind, with the knobbly bits on the handle, and like five kinds of bristles?

Sheeeeeit son that's a *good* clean.

I always thought the weird upper lip twitch he did before the scream looks like he was trying to dislodge something from his teeth, so it fits.

Nah man. He's using one of those 'future' toothbrushes that just beam up the plaque. Just get the brush to within transporter range and beam your plaque into a Klingon's mouth, where it'll be no tribble a'tal. Four out of five Scotties recommend Transbrushers. #starfleetmedicalassociation

My mum bought be a Tribble when I was a kid.  It was probably the toy with the best profit margin; literally it's just fur.  But it made squeeky noises!  It was pretty cool.

The next Trek has to be full on Klingon. Am I right?  I Like the reboot movies but they are dangling the carrot for serious Trek fans. Im all for making the films for "everyone" but the last film was okay at best.

As Epic as the Trek v. Wars arguments can be, I think these arguments would not exist had George Lucas used his original script for Star Wars. For then Star Wars would undeniably manage to overtake Star Trek......in camp value. Seriously, check out the comic series from Dark Horse that is based on the original script. In issue 2 (of 8), Anakin Starkiller punches Princess Leia to knock her out because she was't cooperating when he was trying to save her. In issue 5 she is confessing her love for him. So scary thought, George Lucas has actually gotten better at writing romances and Anakin/Padme could have been a lot worse. Also Han Solo is a green alien in the original script.

Well then you need to buy yourself an official licensed Tribble to make up for the disappointment. Or a mama Tribble once it comes out!

Also Han Solo is a green alien in the original script.

So then Han Solo shot first?

Although, considering that Lucas was basically ripping off of Samurai films and such, the whole punching out Leia thing isn't all that surprising.

I watched First Contact again today. Probably one of my favorite ST movies. Drunk Troi and Picard calling Worf a pussy. Good times:)

Both suck.

Nah, both are okay. DS9 is the best though.

I loathe the Abrams movies. Not so much because they screw with established characters and stories as for the fact they are poorly written with little care for plot or real character development.

I've always been more of a Star Wars guy myself. I think that's because I tend to prefer the mythic and archetypical more than the straight up sci-fi of Star Trek. I do really enjoy a lot of Star Trek series/movies though Star Wars will always be just a bit more preferable to me because it is an example of the types of stories that I tend to like.

I may differ in that I actually enjoyed the first Abrams Star Trek movie. The plot is a little contrived, and it did lose its more cerebral qualities in the move to a more straight-up, action flick, but I did find what character development that was there was solid and it was just entertaining.

Into Darkness was atrocious though. Biggest letdown of a movie I've seen in a long, long time.
