These guys have released Heroine's Quest on Steam, a throw back to Quest for Glory from the old Sierra days but with a female protagonist. Looks decent enough, and it's free.

I guess I'll have to boot into Windows when I get home and give it a shot, and see if it can hold a candle to the original series. Nice to see someone out there put effort into their games like this. I loved this series of games, and more of it, (or similar type games) can't be a bad thing right?

+1.

Also don't forget about Quest for Infamy, if you loved the old QoG game.

Did not know about Quest for Infamy. Also looks solid, and will have to keep my eye on that one as well!!

put in a solid 7 hours this weekend into Heroine's Quest, and it definitely captures the "old Sierra" game feel. Has just enough references to it's fore bearers (adventure games that is) without seeming like it's constantly shoving it in your face saying "I'M AN ADVENTURE GAME".

Plenty of puzzles to go around and ways to solve them, and makes use of Norse Mythology for it's backdrop. If you really liked QFG back in the day, this is right up there and definitely worth your time I think.
