Developer of games such as fallout 3 elderscrolls series, over the past couple of years IMO they have been making mistakes, buggy games, bad game engines and reliance on patches have been their achilles heel, this a message of love and support and hopefully they get better and mot worse.

While Bethesta games aren't that stable out of the best, I think most people give them leeway as the scope of their games are by far the most ambitious.
Given enough time and millions of users reporting the bugs, they are usually become rock solid.

That said, other than some funny and weird shit happening, my first Skyrim game didn't encounter anything that broke it.
The worst that happened to me was a bugged quest that didn't remove itself from my quest log even after finishing it.
Also, backward flying dragons and mammoths raining from the sky aren't bugs to me, they're hilarious features =P

Yeah. The only bug I had in Skyrim was a quest that stayed after I finished it. A couple game freezes. Nothing detrimental that stopped my enjoyment of the game, or didn't allow me to finish it.

Dude Bethesda's been getting /better/ over time.

... I still don't /like/ their output but compared to the gaping needlefelting injury that Daggerfall was?

Fuck those cunts for knowingly selling broken games.

They'll never get another penny from me.

That was kind of the point I was trying to make with my 'LOL' but perhaps I was too curt...

This is absolutely true.  Skyrim was the most stable game they've ever released at launch.  Of course the first patch fucked it up quite a bit, but they're getting there. :P

If you look for them they are there, but if you are just playing the game and having fun like you and I they probably won't pop up. People just like to complain and break the game with stuff Bethesda does not give a shit about. I don't blame them.

They get patched. It's more of an issue at launch.

Morrowind and Oblivion both had a lot of quests that wouldn't trigger right, both had memory leaks -- Oblivion had this really egregious file cache probably that ended up leaking memory by design, uh... Oblivion didn't work on ATI cards at launch, Oblivion would crash your game if you got Daedric enchantments...

I think the console released has a lot of those fixed by the time they ended up shipping?

Sorry, but I just don't believe that.

They had to know what the problems were with their games before they released, given the amount of problems that exist.

Bethesda doesn't seem to have much of a QA department. That might be the biggest problem.
