Casino Royale midnight showing was tonight.

I'll have a full blown spoiler-laden review up when I get some sleep, but I'll say this: If you see nothing except the intro, open credits and following scene, and then the very end, those moments by themselves would make you think that Craig is a PHENOMENAL Bond.

The rest of the film lives up to it as well. Top-notch, and it blew nearly every Brosnan film (Goldeneye the only exception) out of the water entirely.

It looks ridiculously sexy. I'll be making a visit to the cinema rather soon!

Not surprised that one would find Goldeneye an exception, seeing that CR is directed by the same person.

Posted my brief opinion of the film on the Recently Viewed thread. I loved Daniel Craig's performance to bits, he plays the perfect "rough diamond" Bond. Was a bit surprised at the song. No Casino Royale, plus sang by that guy from Audioslave.

Oh, and...

Code:
Was Moneypenny in Dr.No? She wasn't in CR, so I was wondering if she was introduced in a later Bond movie/novel.

I'll probably see it with my brother who is a huge Bond fan, he doesn't really think the new Bond looks all that great, but I think it looks like the best one in years.

Oh and I love the theme from Chris Cornell.

I love Daniel Craig, he can stay as Bond as long as he pleases.

This movie was great, loved it through adn through; great mix of serious stuff and action.  Good lines, good characters, and great cast.
One think I particularily liked was how this Bond seems a bit more human, in the sense that he is at time irrational and reckless; rather than a godly figure of walking libido and a gun.

This movie was great, .

Totally agreed on this. God I remember a lot of British publications being up in arms about Daniel Craig not being Bond-material.

Fuck them. Fuck the British Press.

Rotten Tomatoes has been giving this film quite a bit of praise. They even said it was the best Bond since Goldfinger.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this.
