IGN link.

I'm impressed with the scores of Resistance. Western game that gets good marks in Famitsu? Nice. Though I'd still trust mags/sites on this side of the ocean more in regards to those reviews. :P

I agree, the Resistance score is a pleasant surprise. Interestingly enough, the Japanese gaming press in general seems to like that game and has devoted considerable coverage to it since Tokyo Game Show.
The platinum and gold awards for Ridge Racer 7 and Kidou Senshi Gundam: Target in Sight on the other hand were expected.

It's really funny how the taste in games really differ for some games.  Gundam got totally bashed by the American media, while Famitsu gave it an 8 all around?  Untold legends had pretty high marks as well while still being bashed by the American media.  So who knows?

It's Japanese culture, Mecha is what Football/Soccer or Rugby would be to you or I, a natural obsession.

Nice scores though, although I'm a little sceptical about RR, still scoring high on Playstations and not so on other consoles, hmmm odd.
